Real Madrid vs Sociedad Prediction: La Liga Match on 01.03.2021
By admin | | 0 Comments |

It’s the first day of March and La Liga champions Real Madrid return to league action following their midweek Champions League exploits. The home team are involved in a battle with city rivals Atletico Madrid and Barcelona to retain their crown and it’s a fight that is sure to go right down to the wire. We are entering a vital stage of the season. Can Real Madrid find the form needed to win the title? A competitive match is expected on Monday evening in Madrid after these teams played out a tense draw in their most recent meeting back in September. That game ended goalless, but it did extend Madrid’s unbeaten run against Sociedad to two games. Will that run continue? Madrid three off the pace Real Madrid entered round 25 of the La Liga season with stats showing 16 wins and four draws against four defeats, scoring 42 goals while conceding just 19. The 52 points gained leaves them three off the pace set by Atletico Madrid who also have a game in hand. Real have done well to fight their way back into it but know there’s now no room for error as the race gets serious. Confidence is high in the home dressing room after Blancos put together an eye-catching four-game winning run, moving them five points ahead of Barcelona in third place. The locals were last seen in domestic action beating Real Valladolid 1-0 away from home, claiming an important three points thanks to a goal from Casemiro on 65 minutes. More of the same is needed here. Sociedad have won their last three Sociedad are performing above expectations so far and sit fifth in the table with a strong chance of improving and grabbing a place in the top-four. Champions League football next season is a possibility if they can continue their form and that’s something the squad must keep in mind as the challenges continue to come at them thick and fast. The visitors arrive in town on the back of an impressive unbeaten run, drawing two and winning three of their last five games. Sociedad have also picked up each of the last nine points available to them in the league so face Madrid without fear. If they can get something out of this match it will seriously improve their chances of finishing in the top-four. Real Madrid vs Sociedad prediction Both teams find themselves in a fantastic position but that comes with pressure and the players know they must continue their impressive form until the end of the season. A slip up here could have a huge impact on their chances of winning the title or finishing in the top-four. That should make this a nervy game but both clubs are scoring for fun at the minute so armchair fans hope to see a few goals. La Liga odds Real Madrid are 2.14 to win with Sociedad priced at 4.2 with 22bet and the draw 2.71. Make sure to bet on Real Madrid vs Sociedad with 22Bet! Antwerp vs Rangers Prediction: UEFA Europa League Match on 18.02.2021
By admin | | 0 Comments |

Europa League action returns in midweek with the Round of 32 games played on Thursday. Each of the matches are scheduled to be shown live on TV, promising a night of entertainment for armchair fans. In this article, our team of football experts focus on the game in Belgium where local side Royal Antwerp take on Steven Gerrard’s Scottish Premiership champions in-waiting Rangers from 20:00 Antwerp runners up behind Spurs Antwerp finished as runners up in Europa League Group J. Stats of four wins and two defeats gave a dozen points which meant they finished just one behind pool winners Tottenham, two better than LASK in third. Royal scored eight goals in their six previous games but conceded five and that’s something that will concern the new coaching team. In the Belgium First Division A, we find Antwerp in second place trailing leaders Club Bruges who look home and hosed as champions this term. Bruges have 60 points on the board ahead of Antwerp on 47 and Genk on 43. The home team’s main concern between now and the end of the season will be holding their ground and securing Champions League football next term. Gers heading towards 55 Rangers were unbeaten in their Europa League group and finished as winners of what had been billed as a competitive pool. The Gers were pulled from pot four and added to Group D, but they defied the odds to win four games and draw the other two, scoring 13 goals while conceding seven. 14 points placed them two ahead of runners up Benfica and 10 better than Standard Liege in third. As well as their success on the continent we have seen Steven Gerrard’s Rangers dominate Scottish football. The Gers are now within four games of clinching their first title in 10 years. This year’s gong would be a double celebration for Rangers, winning a 55th Scottish championship and ending Celtic’s hopes of clinching a record 10-in-a-row. Antwerp vs Rangers prediction Antwerp are well off the pace domestically and are missing a few key players, including their star striker. Replacing him in attack is a man not long back from injury. Keeping a clean sheet will be Gerrard’s main aim but the visitors will shoot for the first leg lead. Europa League odds Antwerp are 4.04 to win with 22bet offering Rangers at 2.58 and the draw 2.27. Warriors Teammate Praises Steph Curry and Draymond Green’s Hall of Fame IQ
By admin | | 0 Comments |

After a bumpy start to the 2020-21 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors are getting back in form. They made several changes to their roster in the offseason and it took some time for the players to settle in. But with the All-Star break almost here, the Dubs are looking consistent. The credit for their newfound success goes to none other than their veteran duo of Steph Curry and Draymond Green. Recently, the two stars flaunted their skills against the Cavaliers in a comfortable 129-98 victory. Curry continued his hot scoring streak with 36 points against the Cavs. On the other hand, Green handled the facilitating duties for the team as he finished the game with 16 assists. The two stars have shouldered the burden for the team in the absence of Klay Thompson. But can the Warriors go all the way and win another championship? We will find out in the coming months. Steph Curry and Draymond Green: The two pillars for the Golden State Warriors Golden State Warriors forward Kent Bazemore (26) and forward Juan Toscano-Anderson (95) and guard Stephen Curry (30) and forward Draymond Green (23) during the game between the Dallas Mavericks and the Golden State Warriors at the American Airlines Center. Mandatory Credit: Jerome Miron-USA TODAY SportsFollowing this sensational victory, Juan Toscano-Anderson gave an interesting post-game interview. He said: “I am a beneficiary of these guys, their hall of fame IQ. You know Draymond [Green] had 16 assists today and that’s amazing from our starting center. Last five games, he’s in double digits assists. … Either Steph [Curry] is open or Imma be open. “I’m aware that the defense ain’t gonna leave him so I just find those gaps and get those easy buckets. I know Draymond sees everything. Sometimes he sees it a little too quick before any of us see it, but it’s great to play with a guy like that.” Draymond Green has always been an amazing playmaker for the Dubs. Even during their stretch of dominance in the mid 2010s, he took on the role of a facilitator for their championship teams. This season, he is elevating his game further in that department. PSL remains ‘strong,’ in talks with GMA 7 for broadcast deal
By admin | | 0 Comments |

FILE PHOTO – PSL chairman Philip Ella Juico during the 2020 league opening. TRISTAN TAMAYO/INQUIRER.net Despite encountering turbulent times, the Philippine Superliga is in the process of engaging a new television partner in GMA 7. PSL chairman Philip Ella Juico announced Tuesday at the Philippine Sportswriters Association forum that league officials look forward to forging an alliance with the Kapuso network since breaking up with TV5 has become inevitable. “We remain as strong as before and even stronger now because the teams that we have are very committed. As we speak today, we are starting negotiations with GMA 7 as our new TV partner,’’ said Juico. Once the deal has been sealed, GMA 7 will air the league’s beach volleyball tournament starting Feb. 26, featuring eight teams in a bubble tournament in Subic Bay, Zambales. Juico said the PSL currently has four teams—Sta. Lucia, F2 Logistics, Chery Tiggo and a guest squad in Petro Gazz—while the league is seeking to add two to three more teams as soon as the GMA 7 partnership has been finalized. He added Generika, Petron and Marinerang Pilipina took a leave from the league and reports have it that Cignal has decided to move ship to the Philippine Volleyball League. “If Cignal is joining the other league, we have no other sensible reason to stay at TV5. We have to adjust to the reality of the situation and the signs of the times,’’ said Juico during the weekly forum backed by Smart, Go For Gold, Milo, San Miguel Corporation, Braska and Pagcor. But while the PVL has gone professional under the supervision of the Games and Amusements Board, the PSL, which decided to move the projected March opening of its indoor volleyball to a later date, has opted to remain non-professional. “Our board, our team owners, the ones who are still with us really want to stay non-professional. We realized that there is really no room for two professional (volleyball) leagues in this country,’’ said Juico. “What good will that do to Philippine sports development? It doesn’t make strategic sense. Why do we have to move up if there is already a (pro) league there? We’ll just stay here where we are happy and have created a niche,’’ added Juico. The Pros and Cons of Making a Living From Poker
By admin | | 0 Comments |

If you enjoy poker, making a living from playing this game seems like living the dream. Do something you love, and it will never feel like work. But, before you go all in, you should be aware of all of the pros and cons that come with playing poker for a living. If you’re considering getting more serious about your potential poker career, here are some of the most prominent advantages and disadvantages that come with being a professional poker player. The Advantages of Playing Poker for a Living You Own Your Own Time If you’re playing poker for a living, you’re effectively choosing your work hours. Being your own boss, especially in a career path such as this, means that you’re entirely free to tailor your own time and make the best of every day. The hassle of working night shifts or waking up early every morning to drive to work won’t be a problem if you gown down this road. Your “offices” are the online poker tables and live poker tournaments you choose to participate in. Just keep in mind that you must maintain great discipline in such a job, as not to lose yourself in the flexibility and freedom of your own time. No Salary Ceiling The biggest reason most poker players want to go professional is the unlimited profit available for those who dare to claim it. Although money shouldn’t be your primary motivator, it’s hard not to think about the multi-million prizes at the biggest poker tournaments in the world. Even if you are just starting out playing online on real money poker sites, there are still countless options with prizes significantly more extensive than what most working people can earn in their day jobs. Plus, the best part about this is that there’s no salary ceiling on how much you can bring home each month. Living and Traveling Anywhere in the World Another great advantage of playing poker for a living is that you can experience the feeling of always being on vacation while traveling for work and making money in the process. If you plan on becoming a full-time poker player, you can look forward to frequently traveling to some of the biggest and most exciting cities in the world. From Las Vegas and London to Barcelona and Monaco, you make your own schedule as packed or free as you wish. Moreover, as a professional poker player, you have unlimited freedom in choosing a location where you want to settle down. If you want to make your home in a sunny and warm place, you can select a popular poker destination such as the Caribbean. This will allow you to enjoy endless summers while still being very close to some of the most popular and rewarding poker tournaments. The Disadvantages of Playing Poker for a Living No Guaranteed Income The most significant benefit of a day job is that you know exactly how much money you’re earning every month. When you switch up your day job for a professional poker career, this safety net disappears. While it’s true that you’ll be able to win massive amounts of money potentially, there’s no telling when or even if this will come. Instability of income is a typical tradeoff in many careers that offer a higher profit ceiling. If you like playing it safe and can’t risk running a negative balance for a few weeks or months, pursuing a career in Texas Hold’em probably isn’t the best way to go. That said, if you’re ready to accept the swings and have the mindset to handle the pressure of unstable earnings, you can turn this disadvantage into your advantage. The Road to Success Can be Arduous Watching Daniel Negreanu toy with his opponents makes it seem almost effortless. But, most of us forget that we’re watching the end result of years of studying the game and the psychology of their competitors. All professional poker players have experienced great highs and lows throughout their long journey. Don’t go into it thinking that it’s going a smooth ride all of the time. Confidence is a must-have, but you should continuously work on your skills to back this up. Of course, some players have achieved great success in their first few years of playing the game, but these are outliers. If you’re aiming to make poker your lifetime career, you need to arm yourself with patience and always remember that you're in it for the long run, and variance will catch up with you eventually. Stable Budget Needed to Start Although poker offers you the opportunity to win a lot of money, you also need to have adequate starting capital before you even consider devoting all of your attention to the game. The lack of money is one of the more significant reasons why most players don’t commit to playing poker professionally. For many players, it can take years before they can get to a consistent level of winning in poker. If you don’t have the capital to start or a stable day job to cover your poker losses, you can quickly grow tired of the stress and grind. It’s crucial to remember that success isn’t guaranteed and that you should never risk the money you can’t afford to lose. Learning good bankroll management is a must! Are you Ready to Become a Professional Poker Player? The hard truth is that not everyone is cut out to be a world-class poker player. But, with enough patience and work, you can make a great living from playing poker. This is because, ultimately, the pros heavily outweigh the cons, and most players who truly commit to studying and learning the game can succeed in it. If you’re passionate about poker and ready to put your energy into it, nothing is stopping you from making a career out of it. To get some help on your path, check out the best poker training sites out there, as you’ll find plenty of great resources here.

Flames’ Bubble Boys line provides boost after Backlund injury
By admin | | 0 Comments |

The Calgary Flames’ Bubble Boys are back. Reunited for the first time since they dominated as the Flames' best line in last summer’s playoffs, Milan Lucic, Dillon Dube and Sam Bennett turned yet another slow start around with energy and a pair of goals that changed the game’s complexion. Thrust together due to an injury to Mikael Backlund that prompted changes to all four lines, the trio gave the Flames a spark late in a first period that they trailed 2-0. With the team reeling from having to try to kill four penalties in the period, Lucic’s goal with 25 seconds left in the frame kickstarted a three-goal spree that put the team in control until the game’s final minute. “I thought they played an integral part in getting us going tonight,” said coach Geoff Ward following the team’s 4-3 win, capped by Johnny Gaudreau’s overtime blast. “Putting them back together was a real good thing for our team in terms of what they brought -- exactly the same energy as the bubble. I thought they were excellent all night. They had some heavy shifts, two goals and really turned the game around for us after we had to kill all the penalties.” Lucic’s fourth of the year came on a delayed penalty, punctuating the team’s first heavy, dominant shift of the game. Just prior to that the Flames had more penalties (four) than shots on goal (three) as part of the team’s troubling trend of first period face plants. From there they flourished. Elias Lindholm tied the game midway through the second before Dube got his stick in between Nate Schmidt’s Steve Smith imitation, which saw an ill-advised pass attempt up the middle bounce in off the back of goalie Thatcher Demko’s pad. It was another in a series of fortuitous bounces for a Flames club that has used every one of them to win four of their last five, despite several horrific stretches. The Canucks threatened to ruin the good vibes the Flames flew home with Monday night with a shorthanded goal from Brock Boeser while the goalie was pulled and only 30.2 seconds remained in regulation. However, Gaudreau one-timed a great pass from Sean Monahan past Demko early in overtime for the team’s first successful power play conversion in four tries. His 10th goal of the season came on his seventh shot of the night. “Great pass by Monny, he sold the shot,” said Gaudreau, whose club gets its fourth-straight shot at the Canucks Wednesday in Calgary. “The goalie kind of was slow to get over and I finished it into an empty net. We’re very capable of playing a solid, 60-minute game. Obviously, Saturday wasn’t the team we know we are. I thought we played a really good, strong second and third period. We found a way to win in overtime and come out of here with four of six points.” The overtime goal was challenged as being offside but was allowed to stand thanks to the new rule this year allowing a player to remain onside of their skate is off the ice but about the blue line. Surrendering the first goal for the ninth time this season, it marked the fourth time the Flames have overcome an early deficit -- something they couldn’t do Saturday when the Canucks embarrassed the Flames, out-shooting them 46-19 in a 3-1 win. “That was the response we were looking for after the last game,” said Rasmus Andersson, who set up the Flames’ first two goals with perfect passes. “To get one with 25 seconds left in the period was obviously a momentum shift and in the second and third period I thought we played really well.” It was an interesting evening for Andersson and the bulk of a defensive group that held tight despite two new pairings. Andersson was stripped of power play duties and asked to simplify his game alongside Connor Mackey, whose second NHL game featured three penalties and his first NHL assist. For the first time this year Juuso Valimaki was handed the keys to the power play and he ended up playing almost twice as many minutes with the extra man (3:50) than his new playing partner, Mark Giordano (2:23), did. As a group they did well to limit the number of shots on Jacob Markstrom to 33 despite having to try to kill six power plays, including a 5-on-3 that saw the Canucks score to make it 2-0 late in the first. “Once we found our game we played really well," said Dube. It just took a while. Again.

49ers: 3 available quarterbacks better than Jimmy Garoppolo
By admin | | 0 Comments |

As the San Francisco 49ers consider the future with Jimmy Garoppolo, these three potentially available quarterbacks would be an upgrade. In three full seasons as the San Francisco 49ers’ starter, Jimmy Garoppolo has played more than six games once. That one season yielded a trip to the Super Bowl, but even with that “Jimmy G” looks entirely replaceable.Head coach Kyle Shanahan’s system has coaxed passable quarterback play out of Nick Mullens for stretches during Garoppolo’s absences in two of the last three seasons. So it may not matter all the much who is under center, with high-level play design and a run-oriented system in place, but Garoppolo’s ceiling is limited and thus so is the team’s ceiling as long as he’s the quarterback. At risk of sounding like a broken record, the 49ers can clear nearly $24 million in cap space with a dead money hit of less than $3 million by cutting or trading Garoppolo this offseason. There are some possible trade suitors out there (the New England Patriots lead any list), so the 49ers can surely get something for him if they want to go another direction. That’s not to say replacing Garoppolo won’t possibly be complicated, with cap space and overall fit in mind. But these three quarterbacks who could be available are definitely better than Garoppolo.3 quarterbacks better than Garoppolo the 49ers could target3. Matt RyanThe Falcons have a new GM and a new head coach, and they also have serious salary cap concerns. Trading Ryan before June 1 would leave behind big dead money for Atlanta ($44.4 million), but the transaction being made official on June 2 changes the numbers ($17.9 million in dead money, $23 million in cleared cap space).Shanahan was Atlanta’s offensive coordinator in 2015 and 2016. In 2016, Ryan won league MVP with career-best numbers across the board. The Falcons trading Ryan this offseason, to the 49ers or anyone else, falls into the “never say never” category. But he has run Shanahan’s offense at a high level, and some level of pursuit from San Francisco’s end shouldn’t be ruled out.
